Ectopic Pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus - most often in a fallopian tube. Symptoms include pelvic pain and vaginal bleeding. Diagnosis uses transvaginal ultrasound and serial beta-hCG tests; treatment ranges from observation or methotrexate to surgery.
